Please read the following guidelines carefully before preparing and submitting your manuscript to Applied Cell Biology.

Welcome to the Asian Journal of Pharmacology and Toxicology (AJPT) (ISSN: 2347-3886)”, an international, peer-reviewed, open access scholarly journal committed to publishing high-quality scientific research with integrity, transparency, and rapid dissemination. The journal aims to provide an advanced platform for researchers, clinicians, academicians, and industry professionals to communicate innovative findings that contribute significantly to the advancement of science and healthcare.

The journal operates under a continuous publication model to ensure accepted manuscripts are published online promptly after completion of peer review, editorial processing, and author proof corrections. This publishing approach enables immediate global accessibility and accelerates the dissemination of scientific knowledge.

All manuscripts submitted to the journal undergo rigorous editorial screening and peer review to maintain the highest academic and ethical standards.

Editorial and Peer Review Process

The journal follows a single-blind peer review system, in which reviewers remain anonymous to authors while reviewer identities are confidentially maintained by the editorial office. Upon request, the journal may facilitate a double-blind peer review process.

Each manuscript undergoes the following stages:

1.     Initial Editorial Assessment

o   Evaluation of manuscript scope, originality, ethical compliance, scientific quality, and formatting.

2.     Peer Review

o   Manuscripts deemed suitable are assigned to independent expert reviewers.

3.     Editorial Decision

o   Decisions may include:

§  Accept

§  Minor Revision

§  Major Revision

§  Reject

4.     Production and Publication

o   Accepted articles proceed to copyediting, typesetting, proofreading, and online publication.

The journal is committed to an efficient review workflow while ensuring thorough scientific evaluation.

Submission of Manuscripts

Authors may submit manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system or by email submission to the editorial office.

Before submission, authors are strongly encouraged to ensure that:

  • The manuscript has not been published previously.
  • The manuscript is not under consideration elsewhere.
  • All authors approve the submission.
  • Ethical and institutional approvals have been obtained where applicable.

Open Access Policy

The journal follows a Gold Open Access publishing model, ensuring that all published content is freely accessible worldwide without subscription barriers.

Under this model:

  • Readers may read, download, distribute, and cite articles freely.
  • Authors retain copyright of their work.
  • Published research receives enhanced visibility and accessibility.

The journal supports the global exchange of scientific knowledge and encourages unrestricted academic dissemination.

Publication Ethics and Integrity

The journal strictly adheres to internationally accepted publication ethics and editorial standards.

Authors must ensure that:

  • Submitted work is original.
  • Data presented are accurate and authentic.
  • Proper acknowledgment of sources is provided.
  • Plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, and duplicate publication are avoided.

All submitted manuscripts may be screened using plagiarism detection software.

Any ethical misconduct identified before or after publication may result in manuscript rejection, correction, or retraction.

Authorship Criteria

All listed authors should have made substantial contributions to:

  • Conceptualization or design of the study
  • Data acquisition, analysis, or interpretation
  • Drafting or revising the manuscript
  • Approval of the final version

Individuals who contributed partially but do not meet authorship criteria should be acknowledged appropriately.

The corresponding author is responsible for communication with the journal throughout the submission and publication process.

Article Processing Charges (APC)

As an open access journal, publication costs are supported through Article Processing Charges (APCs), which cover:

  • Editorial management
  • Peer review administration
  • Copyediting and typesetting
  • Online hosting and archiving
  • DOI assignment
  • Production and indexing support

Article Processing Charges and Publication Fees are USD 749.

The journal may provide partial or full waivers for authors from low-income countries or under exceptional circumstances upon prior request.

Manuscript Preparation Guidelines

Authors are requested to prepare manuscripts clearly, concisely, and in professional academic English.

Manuscripts should generally include the following sections:

  • Title Page
  • Abstract
  • Keywords
  • Introduction
  • Materials and Methods
  • Results
  • Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • Conflicts of Interest
  • Funding Statement
  • Acknowledgments
  • References
  • Figures and Tables

Authors from non-English-speaking countries are encouraged to have manuscripts reviewed for language quality before submission.

Title Page

The title page should contain:

  • Concise and informative article title
  • Full names of all authors
  • Institutional affiliations
  • Corresponding author details
  • Email addresses
  • ORCID IDs (recommended)
  • Running title (optional)

The article title should be precise and accurately reflect the content of the manuscript.

Abstract

The abstract should provide a concise summary of the study and generally include:

  • Background
  • Objectives
  • Methods
  • Results
  • Conclusion

Abstracts should typically not exceed 300 words and should not contain references, figures, or undefined abbreviations.

Keywords

Authors should provide 4–10 relevant keywords to facilitate indexing and discoverability.

Introduction

The introduction should:

  • Present the scientific background
  • Define the research problem
  • Summarize relevant literature
  • Clearly state study objectives and significance

Materials and Methods

This section should provide sufficient detail to allow reproducibility of the study.

Authors should include:

  • Study design
  • Experimental procedures
  • Materials and equipment
  • Statistical analysis
  • Ethical approvals

Previously published methods should be properly cited.

Results

Results should be presented clearly and logically using text, tables, and figures where appropriate.

Avoid repetition of data between tables, figures, and the main text.

Discussion

The discussion should:

  • Interpret findings
  • Compare results with previous studies
  • Explain scientific implications
  • Address limitations
  • Suggest future research directions

Conclusion

The conclusion should summarize the major findings and scientific significance of the study without overstating the results.

Ethical Approval and Consent

Studies involving human participants or animals must include statements regarding:

  • Institutional ethics approval
  • Informed consent
  • Compliance with relevant ethical guidelines and regulations

Clinical studies should comply with recognized international ethical standards.

Conflicts of Interest

Authors must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal relationships that could influence the work.

If no conflicts exist, authors should state:

“The authors declare no conflicts of interest.”

Funding Statement

Authors should clearly identify all funding sources and grant numbers associated with the research.

If no funding was received, authors may state:

“This research received no external funding.”

Acknowledgments

Authors may acknowledge individuals, institutions, or organizations that contributed to the study but do not meet authorship criteria.

Permission should be obtained before naming acknowledged individuals.

References

References should:

  • Be cited sequentially within the manuscript
  • Follow a consistent citation style
  • Include only cited literature
  • Be accurate and complete

The journal recommends the Vancouver referencing style unless otherwise specified.

Examples:

Figures and Illustrations

Figures should:

  • Be high resolution
  • Be submitted in TIFF, JPEG, PNG, or EPS format
  • Include clear legends
  • Be cited sequentially in the text

Any previously published material requires written permission from the copyright holder.

Tables

Tables should:

  • Be editable
  • Include descriptive titles
  • Be cited sequentially
  • Avoid duplication of data presented elsewhere

Supplementary Materials

Supplementary files such as datasets, videos, graphical abstracts, appendices, and supporting documents may be submitted separately.

These materials should be clearly labeled and referenced in the manuscript.

Proofs and Corrections

Galley proofs will be sent to the corresponding author prior to publication.

Authors are requested to:

  • Review proofs carefully
  • Return corrections promptly
  • Limit changes to typographical or factual corrections

Major modifications after acceptance may require editorial approval.

Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain copyright of their published work.

Articles are published under an open access license permitting broad dissemination and academic reuse with proper attribution.

Indexing and Archiving

The journal is committed to ensuring long-term digital preservation and accessibility of published content through recognized archiving systems and indexing services.
